Estimation of population density is important in allocating resources for optimal network coverage. DTM Data Terrain  Modules represent topography of an area. Uneven elevation can be a potential obstruction to radio signals and thus terrain data is helpful in figuring out how to distribute base stations accordingly. Vectors All types of geographic data which can be represented using lines or points come under Vectors. These include roads, rivers, political boundaries etc.
